the countdown is on...the college year has come to an end...friday Austin High School students graduate and saturday morning summer begins and a jam packed summer at that. it all begins with a trip to the boundary waters. on monday june 6th i am leaving with 4 other adults and 22 high school students on a 3 night trip to the boundary waters in northern minnesota. we will enter the waters near ely and will paddle and portage for 6-7 hours into the waters before setting up camp for a few days. i am really looking forward to the time with students and colleagues.
on june 14th the real fun begins...ginny and i are flying to paris. we will spend 4 nights in paris before traveling to germany for a 7 night tour of ginny's "old world"...and then we are off to copenhagen denmark for 4 more days of friends and visiting ginny's favorite sites...
on june 30th, ginny will fly home and i will travel on to turkey to spend 12 days with friend jocelyn and her family (joce is on sabbatical and living in turkey for the year with her family)....i will return july 14...
we will revive the travel blog and hope that you will check in every once in a while...
